The Serpent was purchased for the 1989 season from Nobles Funland, Paducah, Kentucky for $170,000 and installed on the former entertainment stage site (and Kiddieland previous to that). The coaster is a standard Galaxi type and was originally built in 1987 by SDC.
The track length is 1919 feet and has a height of 45 feet. Ride duration is approximately one minute, 50 seconds and has an average speed of 35mph.
In October 2007, the Serpent was sold to Kokomo's Family Fun Center, located in Saginaw, Michigan. It is expected to be open to the public in the summer of 2008.
